PET SAVERS will provide 81Gloucester County classrooms with year-long subscriptions to KIND News© for the 2011-2012 school year. This is yet another increase over last year. We now reach over 2000 young people with information about responsible pet ownership and kindness to animals.
KIND News is published by the Humane Society of the United States and has reached millions of students nationwide.
Totally redesigned for the 2011-2012 school year, KIND News is now a classroom magazine filled with the colorful articles, short features, and fun activities that children and teachers love. The colorful articles, short features, and fun activities teach children the importance of treating animals with kindness and respect. KIND News is age appropriate, with Primary (K - 2nd grades), Jr. (3rd - 4th grades) and Sr. (5th and 6th grades) editions.
Aligned with National Education Standards for the major subject areas, KIND News is used across the curriculum and has become the most widely used humane education resource for teachers, parents, and animal sheltering professionals.
